Thanks for bringing some sunshine to a slightly soggy camping trip at Bon Echo Provincial Park! (Aug 9, 2012)
We enjoyed your show the first time at MacGregor Point in 2011, and were thrilled to see you again at Bon Echo. The music was fun and meeting you after the show for an autograph made the evening special.
Your music was the soundtrack for the rest of our camping trip and the long drive home to Guelph - you know the place ;)

You are awesome at what you do, and made our camping experience that much more enjoyable. Our three year old is still talking about it. We unfortunately didn't have any cash on us last night but I plan to order one of your cds to sing along with.

I just posted this on facebook to share with my friends and thought you may be interested.
"This afternoon, while making breakfast, I popped an old friend into the CD player. We first discovered David Archibald at Wasaga Beach, many summers ago. We had taken Alec & Sydney up for a long weekend getaway and David was putting on a one man concert in the park.
His is purely Canadian, original music about our parks, our wildlife and our history. We bought his 2 CDs at that time and he signed them for us. I got his latest CD - "Park Songs" online from CD Baby. One of our most successful Hallowe'en parties had a pirate theme and we included David's song 'The Ballad of Pirate Bill', a song about Canadian pirate Bill Johnston. David was even kind enough to send me the music for that song so I could play it on the guitar for a sing-a-long with the kids. Every once in a while, I'll resurrect one of his CDs and instantly bring back good personal memories.
What obscure music do you secretly hang onto or have tucked away, that you just know you'll never get rid of? Check your CDs, mp3, cassettes, 8 tracks (Don) and vinyl. Let me know. You can learn about David at www.davidarchibald.com."

Dear David,
Our family attended your concert at Murphy's Point on August 29/09 and purchased the CD. Ever since, it is the only music that interests our kids! If they are not listening at home, they are asking to sing along to them in the car (Camping in the Rough and Stink Pot among their faves). Thank you for such a great experience... I don't know if they realize it, but my kids have learned a lot through your songs and my husband and I enjoy them too!
Best,
Veronica

Hey David!
Thank you for a stunning performance that left the campers at Neys inspired and truly entertained. Your mixture of information, music, and entertaining banter made for an excellent evening. We attended your concert at Sleeping Giant Park on July 18, right after we arrived -- What a nice surprise! Eric (age 8) smiled the whole way through. We bought 'Park Songs' during our stay, and Eric has been singing along with them since. He says: "I really like your Park Songs album!" So do my husband and I. We found your 'Songs of Superior' at Puksakwa last summer, and really appreciate these beautiful melodies about our Great Lake area. I love the creative use of words in your kids' songs, too. Thank you!

Hey David,
Why did I never think to look you up on the net before? I was just playing Wind on the Prairie - a very old not very good tape we made when you came to London. I'd love a new copy as it's just about worn out. I don't see any of the songs here though.

Dear Mr. Archibald,
We really enjoyed your performance at Grundy Lake. Of course, the 'Stinkpot' is a real hit with my kids who are only 4 and 2. They've been singing the chorus ever since Grundy. I am amazed at how they are also singing other songs that they only heard once. Just the other day, the little one saw me picking up something and he said: "That's no tin!".... with an accent! Priceless! Thank you, and can't wait for your new CD!

Hey David,
Just a quick sign-in to say thanks for the fun music. The first time I ever heard you was at Charleston Lake probably about 8 years ago. I was camping with my family and was around 6 or 7. Since then, thinking about camping there is always associated with your music. I remember my younger siblings watching Mr. Dressup one day and seeing you on the show. It was fun to see and here. We are going back to Charleston again in a few days and I am looking forward to playing your tape (yes, my care actually is one of the few that still plays cassettes) for the whole drive up there. I find it refreshing to here such variety in music these days. It seems that many people have lost the appreciation for the art of older styled music…but I find yours to be a stimulating reminder. Thanks a lot,
Danny Z.

Our family has camped at Charleston Lake for 15 years. My kids grew up to the lyrics and fun on Legends and Lore (3 copies!). But we just never lucked out seeing you at the ampitheatre with the bats and bugs. So we book MacGregor for the 15th and HEY! there he is! Looking forward to completing the circle. Our kids are 11,12 & 13 now but I bet they sing along to everything from the Charleston and Pinery albums. Hope you bring some copies of your recent work for us to buy. See you at MacGregor!

I remember seeing you perform at the Frost Centre back in 1997, I was part of a scout troop across from Ireland. I've always had such lyrics as 'save our sturgeon s.o.s.' rattling around my head, and I especially liked St Nora's Tower. I see from associated websites that the Frost Centre appears to be closing, which is a real shame. Is your CD in support of this available in the UK? I would very much like to get a copy if possible.
For me your performance in that concert almost ten years ago provided me with lasting memories, which continue today. No doubt a CD would bring them all flooding back! Best wishes, and continued success. Dave.

David, I'm not sure you remember me at all, my name is Candace Lowes and I am from Minden ON. I went to school with your daughter Renée.
I was flipping through the channels this morning and came across you on Mr. Dressup! I could not believe it. At the young age of 6 or 7, I wasn't aware of how big you were! I was so impressed and couldn't believe it when I heard you talk about Renée.
Again, I'm not sure if you remember me at all, but my friend Tracey Sharpless and I were talking about this and wondered how Renée was. It's great to see how successful you are, congratulations.
